I have started this page to inform people of the "scam" run by Addpeople.co.uk
I personally have heard many more horror stories but I guess these ones will be enough. Its important to mention they have changed their name a few times but were originally I think at least known as "itscoldoutside"

ReplyDeleteExcellent, I am glad you have created this blog. You are right ADD MEDIA (GROUP) LIMITED (04530060) are terrible. They were called itscoldoutside at one point however, they changed this.

ReplyDeleteI have a contract with addpeople media group and i am very concerned about the comments on the blog. I am experiencing major problems with the company thus the reason I have begun doing some research about them. I am shocked regarding the pesky phone calls that they are constantly making to try and cold sell to new potential customers. My problem is the opposite, i am constantly waiting for them to phone me to discuss my website issues, they tell me that no one is available at the moment, someone will call me back, they never do, they tell me to email them about the problem which i had done so already, then email us again ?????? OMG how can i keep my website and get out of this contract. I am paying money every month for nothing and my business is suffering big time

ReplyDeletesomeone above asked exactly what the scam is.. well, its not a scam as such. Its just a large company that have no idea, literally, what they are doing with their clients website marketing, and rely on cold calls and sales talk.
They rang me up today and called themselves "Web people"
ReplyDeleteTried to sell me SEO services and when i told them I was already ranking well for my keywords they told me I was not showing up on Google,Although I show up really well !!!! The woman was very rude and put down the phone on me when she realised I knew more about SEO than her !
I have being contacted by add people they want 150euro up from and 150 euro per month for 6 months . should i do it

I agree that addpeople do not deliver and have zero idea what they are doing. Why be in business, if you can't produce results? If I buy a TV, and its defective, I have an option to get my money back. Not with addpeople. They promise you the world, and when they do more damaged to your rankings than before they started SEO on your site, you query it and get ignored. Do not use addpeople. They may as well be a SCAM.

ReplyDeleteThe best they did was a page 2 ranking after 3 months. My six months is finished and they won't even acknowledge that they have stopped my payments. Not to mention the fact that I now don't rank top 10. It's like they have accessed my website account and undone the work I paid for.

these are the biggest bullshitters around , they sweettalk you to get a site promise you the world and when it comes to delivery time , there are excuses .

We have three sites which we gave out to companies to do SEO. One was given to Addpeople and after 3 months I got worried. Addpeople was about 10 times more expensive than the other people and we had no return from the site they were doing. I had the site checked and after 3 months they didn't do a thing. I had to change my credit card number to get rid of them.

ReplyDeleteThey promised to build manual value backlinks.
In fact, they used link farms which led to a significant downgrade of our website.
When we asked them to remove those links again they refused to do so. First they wanted 250 Pounds for an "analysis". They would then be able to tell me what the actual removal of the backlinks would cost. They also refused to tell me straight away.
This is absolutely ridiculous. They are not only doing harm on your website. They are then asking for money to see if there is a problem in order to finally tell you a price for correcting their own underperformance.
It is like the glazer running around smashing windows...
My recommendation is:
better steer clear of this company!
